In a recent gathering in Cairo, foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Türkiye have reiterated their backing for the ongoing dialogue between the United States and Iran. This high-level meeting sought to mitigate regional tensions and foster diplomatic resolutions. The discussions were attended by Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who collaborated under a four-country consultation mechanism.
During the meeting, the ministers evaluated the latest developments across the Middle East, focusing on initiatives to curb regional tensions and enhance diplomatic engagement in light of the memorandum of understanding reached by Washington and Tehran. Attention was also given to the security conditions in Lebanon, with an emphasis on maintaining continued coordination to avert further instability.
A joint statement from the four nations underscored their complete support for the US-Iran negotiation efforts. Following the discussions, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the attending ministers, commending the increasing coordination among the four countries.
