Solustiq, a pioneering software and artificial intelligence company based in Turkey, has unveiled its strategic role as the nation’s first vertical AI firm aimed at revolutionizing the global travel and tourism sector. With its headquarters in Edirne and offices in both Istanbul and Dubai, the company is devoted to creating the AI infrastructure layer crucially needed by the world’s largest service industry. Despite the travel and tourism sector’s significant contribution of over $11 trillion to the global GDP and employing one in ten workers, it remains technologically underdeveloped. Solustiq is at the forefront of a burgeoning sector of vertical AI enterprises, crafting AI solutions tailored specifically to the intricate workings, data structures, and regulatory demands of a singular industry.

Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Solustiq aims to provide the travel industry with a specialized AI that comprehends complex systems like GDS, hotel inventory APIs, and regulatory frameworks such as TURSAB. “The travel industry doesn’t need another general-purpose chatbot. It needs AI that understands GDS systems, hotel inventory APIs, regulatory frameworks like TURSAB, and the operational rhythm of a tour operator at 3 a.m. when a flight gets cancelled,” said Alper Tekin, the Founder and CEO of Solustiq. The company has chosen a multi-product strategy, operating a suite of AI-native products that address different facets of the travel technology spectrum.

The portfolio includes DataGreat, an AI market intelligence platform with over 38 modules for travel and hospitality competitive research, and SkilledAgents, a no-code platform enabling travel agencies to create their own AI agents for booking and customer service. Other products such as VibePy and Vuln0x serve to accelerate internal product development and enhance cybersecurity for clients, respectively. All these tools rely on specialized training data and industry-standard protocols, providing a comprehensive solution to the industry’s unique challenges.

Solustiq’s approach is not merely theoretical, as demonstrated by its sister company, Safaryar Holidays, a licensed B2B hotel wholesaler and destination management company in Istanbul. Safaryar acts as both a client and a testing ground for Solustiq’s tools, ensuring they are grounded in real-world applications. The company also manages over 90 travel-related domains, using them as content and distribution channels for AI-generated travel insights.

According to Tekin, several factors contribute to 2026 being a pivotal year for vertical AI in the travel industry. The unbundling of legacy GDS oligopolies, the shift in economics making AI agents accessible for smaller travel agencies, and regulatory changes in the EU and Turkey are all driving modernization in the sector. “We’re not asking the travel industry to adopt AI,” Tekin stated. “We’re asking it to choose between vertical AI built by people who understand the industry, or horizontal AI built by people who don’t. We think that’s a much easier conversation.” Through these efforts, Solustiq aims to make a significant impact on the travel industry’s technological advancement.
