Senior Turkish officials, including Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, emphasized the increasing importance of safeguarding Türkiye’s maritime interests, a concept encapsulated by the term “Blue Homeland.” This focus has gained urgency amid intensifying geopolitical rivalries and challenges related to security, technological advancements, energy resources, and trade routes.
The ceremony showcased an impressive array of military assets, such as the TCG Anadolu, TCG Istanbul frigate, TCG Derya, and the Murat Reis submarine. Vice President Yılmaz pointed out that Türkiye is advancing its capacity to integrate manned and unmanned platforms using artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and advanced sensors, all while ensuring secure communications.
