Türkiye Urges Diplomatic Resolution to US-Israel-Iran Tensions Amid Stability Concerns

In a call for peace and stability across the Middle East, Türkiye’s National Security Council, led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has urged the United States, Israel, and Iran to cease hostilities and return to negotiations. The council emphasized that the ongoing conflict risks exacerbating regional instability and could have far-reaching global consequences.

The council underscored the critical role of diplomatic efforts in de-escalating tensions and preventing further conflict. It also reviewed situations in other regions, including Syria, Iraq, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, stressing the need for stability and peace.

For Syria, Türkiye reaffirmed its support for the country’s territorial integrity and called for increased stability in Iraq. Regarding the situations in Gaza and Lebanon, the council appealed for international intervention to curb violence and bolster regional peace efforts.

In the context of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the council highlighted the importance of restraint and called for a cease-fire, particularly due to concerns over attacks impacting civilian infrastructure. The situation in Yemen was also addressed, with the council noting that escalating tensions are heightening security risks throughout the region, urging a return to calm.

Türkiye’s call for dialogue and negotiation aims to mitigate the risk of further instability in already volatile regions and emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in addressing these pressing issues.
