This visit underscores Turkey’s interest in leveraging Canada’s expertise in nuclear energy and exploring broader avenues for energy security collaboration.
In addition to his tour of the nuclear facility, Fidan will engage with a diverse group of stakeholders, including business leaders, academics, and civil society representatives. These discussions will focus on identifying investment opportunities and fostering economic partnerships between Canada and Turkey, both of which are NATO allies.
Fidan’s agenda also includes a key meeting in Ottawa with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand.
