Türkiye Urges Global Action Amid Economic Concerns Over Israel’s Syria Strikes

by admin477351

Türkiye has issued a strong condemnation of the recent Israeli military strikes in southern Syria, asserting that these actions infringe upon Syria’s sovereignty and jeopardize the stability of the region. The strikes targeted specific areas within the provinces of Quneitra and Daraa, which Türkiye claims breach Syria’s territorial integrity and violate international law, as well as the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed concerns that such attacks not only threaten the safety of civilians but also have the potential to exacerbate the already dire humanitarian situation in Syria. It emphasized the risk of these military actions undermining ongoing efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in the war-torn country.

In a call to the global community, Türkiye urged for a collective response to prevent further escalations that could heighten tensions across the region. The Turkish government insisted that international cooperation is crucial to stop such violations and to foster an environment conducive to peace.

Communications Director Burhanettin Duran added his voice to the criticism, denouncing the strikes as detrimental to Syria’s security. He highlighted that such military interventions could obstruct long-term peace initiatives and harm regional stability.

Reaffirming its stance, Türkiye pledged to continue its support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, considering these elements as foundational to ensuring security across the region. The Turkish officials reiterated their commitment to advocating for diplomatic solutions that uphold these principles.
